CANopen I/O Modules
The CIO modules are designed for use in decentral automation. The high level of integration in a small housing for hat rail mounting allows for usage in compact machine control cabinets.
The CANopen modules can be used as slaves supervised by any CAN master, such as a PLC or the MACS3 control by zub machine control AG.
There are different types of modules available to meet the need of inputs and outputs in your application.
Applications
CIO modules are highly qualified for integration in devices with limited mounting space or if no additional PLC can be used due to the cost factor.
- General I/O-control of devices and small machines.
- Local capturing & evaluation of buttons, switches, potis or analog and digital sensor states.
- Local switching of actuators, like lamps, drives, etc.
- Monitoring of drives (e.g. frequency converters) for velocity and direction of rotation.
- Encoder position evaluation & simple positioning by encoder counting and I/O-controlled start/stop, e.g. control of motors used in platforms.
